A key component of BC Transplant's mandate is to support knowledge-development through research and teaching.
There are various transplant-related education opportunities throughout the year available to both BC Transplant staff and other health care professionals looking to learn more about organ donation and transplantation.
UBC Division of Nephrology Province-Wide Rounds are held throughout the year on a variety of renal care topics. Rounds are hosted at St. Paul's Hospital or Vancouver General Hospital and video conferenced to ten sites around the province.
Local and invited speakers present to an audience that includes staff nephrologists, fellows, residents, visiting medical students, renal nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Every year, BC Transplant hosts an education day for health care professionals around the province that work in the organ donation and transplantation field.
